A plane that crashed into the sea in 1987 after its engine broke down was found by a diving instructor in the gulf of Kuşadası in the Aegean Sea.
Since then, the plane has been extensively searched for. A team consisting of five diving instructors began search operations in Kuşadası, a district in Turkey’s western province of Aydın, after they heard the narrations from the son of a fisherman who rescued two pilots who were in the plane.
After the search that lasted for three days, Cüneyt Çakın, a diving instructor, found the plane wreckage in an upside down position.
The divers took photographs of the wreckage which will be used as a diving center.
