‘We evaluated bilateral trade relations,' says head of Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB)
A delegation from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) visited Syria to develop trade relations and to discuss the reconstruction of that country's industrial and commercial infrastructure, the head of the group said Thursday.
Rifat Hisarciklioglu wrote on X that the delegation met Nidal al-Shaar, the Syrian minister of economy and industry, to discuss opportunities for cooperation.
The delegation also met the presidents of companies and business leaders at a meeting hosted by the ministry, he noted.
"We evaluated bilateral trade relations," he said.
Hisarciklioglu previously said the union wants to work to support Syria's reconstruction and revive the private sector and entrepreneurship.
