Trump defends Attorney General Bondi, wants focus on voter fraud over Epstein case

US President Donald Trump defended Attorney General Pam Bondi late Saturday amid internal criticisms and demanded his supporters avoid distractions related to the Jeffrey Epstein case.

“We're on one team, MAGA, and I don't like what's happening,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, addressing what he described as infighting under the umbrella of Make America Great Again (MAGA), the slogan he popularized during his first run for president in 2016.

“They're all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a fantastic job!”

Trump labeled his administration “the talk of the world” and warned against “selfish people” trying to damage its image.

He denounced the revival of interest in case involving the late financier and convicted sex offender Epstein, calling related documents “Files written by (former US President Barack) Obama, Crooked (former Secretary of State) Hillary (Clinton), (former FBI Director James) Comey, (former CIA head John) Brennan, and the losers and criminals of the Biden Administration.”

“The Epstein Files” were, according to Trump, manufactured similarly to the “fake” Steele dossier, a controversial opposition report by counterintelligence agent Christopher Steele.

“If there was anything in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement, why didn't they use it?” he asked.

Trump emphasized that his administration is prioritizing issues such as “securing the border, deporting criminals, fixing the economy,” and “ensuring Iran will not have nuclear weapons.”

He urged the FBI and its leader, Kash Patel, to direct efforts toward investigating “voter fraud, political corruption, ActBlue, and the rigged and stolen election of 2020,” referring to the Democratic political action committee and fundraising platform.

Calling Bondi's work “great,” Trump stated: “Let Pam Bondi do her job.”

He asserted: “One year ago our country was dead, now it's the hottest country anywhere in the world.”
