One out of 10 suspects, who faced detention warrants for killing a 16-year-old teen and his friends during the pro-Kobani demonstrations in southeastern Turkey, was detained by the police on Wednesday.

In the province of Diyarbakır, a group, linked with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK, lynched four people including a 16-year-old high school student, while they were delivering sacrificial meat to poor people on the fourth day of the feast of the sacrifice, a major holiday on the Islamic calendar.

The suspect, identified in lines with Turkish privacy rules, only as R.B., has been under police custody as part of the ongoing investigation, conducted by Diyarbakır chief public prosecutor’s office.

The suspect, 17, was referred to the court house after being questioned for his alleged involvement in the murder, which took place in the Bağcılar district, Diyarbakır, on Oct. 5.

Earlier in December, a Diyarbakır court ruled for the arrest of another juvenile suspect, only identified by the initials F.K., on charges of disrupting the unity and territorial integrity of the state; killing the victims -- Yasin Börü, Ahmet Dakak, Hasan Gökgöz, Riyat Güneş -- by torture.
