The border guards arrested 743 people as they attempted to enter Turkey from the Syrian border, said the Turkish General Staff in a daily report.
In addition, 55 migrants were held when they were trying to illegally cross into Greece and 40 more were rounded up when they were attempting to enter Turkey from Greece, it added.
88 others were also held at the Turkey-Iran border.
