Saudi Arabia’s royal court orders issued by King Salman late on Saturday made some changes to the judiciary and armed forces.
Eleven princes, four current ministers and tens of former ministers were detained in a probe by a new anti-corruption body headed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Economy Minister Adel Fakieh was replaced by Mohammed al-Tuwaijri while Khaled bin Ayyaf replaced Miteb bin Abdullah as National Guard minister.
The Anti-Corruption Commission, which was allegedly in accordance with the Royal Decree, was authorized to arrest, confiscate property and carry out other procedures.
Yeni Şafak and TVNET Editor-In-Chief İbrahim Karagül wrote in a recent column titled “This is a very dangerous game. What’s behind the Saudis’ ‘moderate Islam’ announcement?” that the Saudi announcement of shifting to “moderate Islam” was a dangerous game and a new U.S.-Israel front was being formed, and issued a warning regarding the game being played in the Muslim geography.
“We have been watching the strange developments in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Egypt, Israel and the U.S. for some time now. There is a new situation in the region, which we know is against Iran, but has recently taken an open anti-Turkey state, aimed at limiting Turkey’s influence in the region,” wrote Karagül.
“A strange alliance, a handicapped front is being formed. It is clearly obvious that this front is aimed at holding the Sunni Arab world on a single axis and, that is, dooming it to the U.S.-Israel axis. The Muslim-Arab region is being taken hostage through the UAE and Israel and the marketing aspect of it all is being carried out through Saudi Arabia,” he added.
Following the numerous arrests and detention operations in Saudi Arabia, Karagül drew attention to the extent of the danger the Muslim geography was in via his Twitter account.
“Hariri’s resignation and an earthquake in Saudi Arabia. Many active names have been dismissed. The U.S. is satisfied. The development will manifest in Iraq and Syria, beware! The U.S. and Israel are building the sharpest, most dangerous front to carry the war to the heart of Islam! Turkey must be very careful. The UAE, S. Arabia and Egypt line established by the U.S. and Israel is the line of the 'civil war of Islam.' After Jerusalem, Mecca and Medina are brought to the line. The U.S. and Israel are shaping the Saudi administration to have a standoff with Iran,” Karagül said in a series of tweets.
Karagül, warning that a major military campaign was going to be launched in Syria and Iraq, said: "They could not do it with a sectarian crisis. With this front, they will cause between Arabs and non-Arabs. ‘Moderate Islam’ is the new Arab nationalism project.”
“Another note: The abnormal developments seen in Saudi Arabia and the new axis U.S./Israel axis is entirely against Turkey. Before tanks point to Kaaba,” he added, drawing attention to the possibility that a military mobilization could occur in Syria and Iraq.”
