A Falcon 9 rocket topped with 23 of SpaceX's Starlink internet satellites blasted off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Wednesday.

The Falcon 9's first stage fell back to Earth as planned. It landed vertically on SpaceX's Just Read the Instructions drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean, Space.com reported.

"Payload deploy confirmed, adding 23 @Starlink satellites to the global constellation," said SpaceX in a post on X.

The operation marked SpaceX's 27th mission this year.

The Starlink project, made up of over 5,000 satellites, is an attempt to bridge the digital divide and provide internet access to underserved communities around the world, according to the company.

As SpaceX continues to push the boundaries of space exploration, each launch serves as a testament to human ingenuity and the relentless pursuit of progress in the cosmos, it added.
